The Well Journey offers a variety of coaching for those interested in exploring themselves while focusing on a goal, change, or transition. A coach can help you to move toward your goal with accountability and support while exploring barriers you encounter along the way.

Coaching differs from other “people helping” professions. All of these areas are of equally import, so knowing what you are looking for is key.

  • Therapy is focused on providing a diagnosis and working through dysfunction and challenges, which may go as far back as childhood.
  • Teaching is focused on the teacher providing information, skills, and knowledge to the student.
  • Consulting is focused on providing expert advice and services.
  • Mentoring is focused on the mentor sharing his or her experience with someone who may not have as much experience.
  • A doctor diagnoses, treatments, and advice for patients who may be facing a health challenge or who seek strategies for preventive care.

  • In a coaching relationship, the client is the expert in the room, and the coach serves as a guide, support system, and mirror.

    The Well Journey offers several different kinds of coaching:

  • Health and Well-Being Coaching – the coach helps clients to uncover their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual ideal, and then together, they work toward that ideal.
  • Group Health and Well-Being Circles – similar to Health and Well-Being Coaching, in groups of 8 to 12, the coach works with group members to work toward their ideal selves.
  • Leadership Coaching – for leaders, managers, executives, this coaching supports leaders who are facing a challenge, want to “up their game”, or are interested in exploring additional facets of themselves, all with the end goal of improving their leadership abilities.

    Health and Well-Being Coaching

    Are there well-being behavior changes that you’ve wanted to make but haven’t either known how or been successful in the past? Has a new health concern arisen that you want to pay particular attention to? Do you want to increase your general well-being and are unsure how to make lasting change? Health and well-being coaching effectively motivates and supports behavior change through a structured partnership between the participant and coach. The coach helps you develop and realize your optimal health and well-being vision through inquiry, personal discovery, and accountability.

    Coaching provides an opportunity for you to collaborate with an experienced partner to carve out the kind of optimal health you’ve envisioned. A coach is like a “personal trainer” except the focus will be on your whole self. Any concern that gets in the way of taking care of your optimal health and well-being is the perfect subject with which to begin coaching.

  • Coaching Sessions

    The coaching relationship is unique. The coach and the client form a partnership to better equip you to realize your optimal health and well-being vision based on your goals and values. Using the Wheel of Health as a guide, essentially, any topic you want to bring up that you think will contribute to your well-being is an appropriate topic for health and well-being coaching.

    Group Well-Being Circles

    COHORT PROGRAM FOCUSED ON WELLNESS AND BALANCE

    Well-Being Circles create an opportunity for 8 to 12 participants to explore their health, wellness, and general well-being with the support of an integrative health and well-being coach and the other participants. Whether individual participants want to make a healthy behavior change, pay attention to a health concern, or increase general well-being, members of the group will explore their own goals while learning about various well-being topics. They will go on a 3-month journey together, creating a built-in support network while enjoying the benefits of health and well-being coaching.
